Glazed Apple Cinnamon bread made with fresh apple, cinnamon & brown sugar, then topped with a simple vanilla glaze.
APPLE QUICK BREAD INGREDIENTS
Here’s what you’ll need to make this bread:
-sour cream- you can use plain or vanilla Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream if you’d like!
-all-purpose flour- you can also use bread flour or a combination of bread flour/ all purpose and whole wheat flour
-salt and baking soda
-chopped walnuts or pecans
-1 medium sized apple, peeled and diced
VANILLA GLAZE INGREDIENTS
-½ cup powdered sugar
-1 tbsp melted butter
-¼ tsp vanilla
-1 or more tbsp milk
HOW TO MAKE APPLE CINNAMON BREAD
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F, grease a loaf pan and then set it aside.
In a large mixing bowl or in the bowl of your stand mixer, cream the butter, sugar, eggs and sour cream.
Add in the spices and flour, mixing just until they’re incorporated.
Fold in the walnuts and apple chunks.
Pour the batter into the prepared bread pan. Note that the uncooked batter will be thick.
Bake in the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, until a toothpick, comes out clean and bread registers 200°F when checked with a food thermometer.
To make the vanilla glaze mix the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. When the bread comes out, let it cool on a rack for 20 minutes before removing from the pan and drizzling the glaze on top.
Let the bread finish cooling, slice and serve.
